A Railgun Secondary Propulsion System for High-Speed Hyperloop Transportation

Secondary propulsion methods for high-speed hyperloop transportation are sparsely researched. essential to quickly, efficiently, and safely get a pod up its target speed from stationary state. In this article, we propose analyze the feasibility of form electromagnetic (EM) secondary propulsion, called railgun, commonly used in modern-day artillery technology ammunition launching. We assess two different materials three geometries railgun armature propel pod. Inverse design multiphysics simulation multibody dynamics, magnetic fields, electric currents is material selection that minimizes rail current energy requirements geometry maximizes structural integrity.
